Tristyn with Mr. Hays

This is Tristyn with his teacher, Mr. Hays. As you can see, he appeals to the humorist side of the students. This day Mr. Hays stayed after school until 5:00 to play a chess game with Tristyn. Unfortunately for Tristyn, Mr. Hays won, but it was a special time for Tristyn regardless. Please pray for Luke Hays as he ministers to these 5th grade MKs here in Moscow and touches their lives in a remarkable way. You can follow his journey at www.lukehays.blogspot.com.

Tristyn's Chapel

Once a year each class at the school gets to host the chapel, which is held each Friday. A few weeks ago, Tristyn's class was able to host. The students organized the entire program. Tristyn even wrote and narrated a skit that the class performed. They led the worship time also, as you can see Tristyn is on the far left playing his recorder. He was AWESOME!!!

Our First Snow

Last Sunday night we had our first snow. When we were getting ready to go to bed, we realized everything was white outside. We woke the kids up (they didn't have school on Monday) to show them. They were all excited. Falyn looked out her window marvelling at how beautiful it was. She couldn't stop saying, "It's just so beautiful!" The next morning, she came busting out of her room yelling, "It snowed!" She didn't remember at all waking up and looking out during the night. They couldn't wait to play in it the next day.

During the week it got up in the 30's so most of it melted off. Last night it got colder (in the 20's), and it is snowing again now. It looks like it will be snowing from now on and not getting above freezing for a LONG time.

We are starting to think about the holidays approaching and missing out on those special family moments. We have been invited to share Thanksgiving dinner with Brad and Lori (our mentors). We are looking forward to that.
